Steam Launch Aldebaran

Aldebaran is an 18 foot (5.5 metre) steam launch. She has a fibreglass hull with timber decking and interior. The boiler is a coal fired water tube type and the engine is a compound with cylinders 2" and 3.25" diameter by 2" stroke with hull skin condenser. The bronze propeller is 14" diameter by 20" pitch. The vessel rests on its original trailer which is road registered in NSW. If any of you were members of the SBAA back in the 1980’s you may remember Aldebaran from various events in those years. Due to changing circumstances I have not used the vessel since the 2000’s and I have decided that it is time for her to have a new home.
